Ishraq Ali is a seasoned community organizer with deep experience in faith-based and grassroots advocacy. He began his leadership journey with MAS Boston, where he worked on social justice rooted in Islamic principles. Trained by the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) and experienced in on-the-ground organizing with New York Communities for Change (NYCC), Ishraq brings a powerful blend of strategy, values, and real-world impact to his work.
As Organizing Director at MPower Change, the first national, digitally native Muslim advocacy organization, Ishraq leads efforts to train Muslim leaders in grassroots leadership, equipping them to address anti-Muslim bias, immigrant injustice, and surveillance. His team spearheads campaigns like MyMuslimVote, which centers civic engagement and political awareness within Muslim communities.
At MIYM, Ishraq brings his vision of faith-rooted leadership to an international platform. His work reflects the spirit of the program—empowering young Muslims to think critically, act justly, and build meaningful change through community, compassion, and courage.
