The Muslim International Youth Meeting (MIYM) is organized by İnsan ve İrfan Vakfı, supported by a network of local and international partners.
İnsan ve İrfan Foundation was established on November 17, 2013, and registered under registry 5722. By decision of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the foundation was granted the status of a Public Benefit Foundation (Tax Exemption) in 2021.
The MIYM program is organized under the umbrella of the Human and Irfan Foundation in collaboration with several esteemed partners:
These collaborative partnerships enable MIYM to offer participants a rich and comprehensive educational and cultural experience.
MiYM is not a conventional summer school or activity-based youth camp. It is built around a central question: what does it mean to recognize the value entrusted to the human being, and how can that trust be protected in today’s world?
What makes MiYM distinctive is that it is concept-centered, problem-driven, and rooted in a long-standing tradition of moral and intellectual formation. The program is structured around the five essential values to be protected—religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth—and invites students to read contemporary challenges through this framework rather than through disconnected topics.
MiYM also stands within an unbroken chain of scholarly tradition, grounded in the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the enduring intellectual and irfani heritage of the Muslim world. Learning is not treated as information alone, but together with judgment, responsibility, and adab.
The program also extends beyond the classroom through small-group mentorship, guided reflection, and visits to historic sites in Istanbul. These visits help students connect Islamic tradition with knowledge, civilization, and contributions that benefited humanity at large
MiYM 2026 has a total capacity of 120 participants. Applications are reviewed holistically based on eligibility, overall fit with the aims and spirit of the program, and the care, sincerity, and thoughtfulness reflected in the application form.
Applications are received in three phases: Early Bird, Regular, and Late Phase. Since places are limited, applying earlier is recommended. Admission is selective, and submitting an application does not automatically guarantee acceptance.
As part of the application, students are asked to share a real-life challenge or experience. This helps us better understand each applicant’s perspective and also helps us shape mentoring groups and discussions in a more meaningful way during the program.
For accepted participants, discounted flight tickets will be offered upon request, depending on availability and applicable arrangements.
Financial aid is provided based on a need-based assessment. Financial aid is limited and will be prioritized for those with the greatest demonstrated need. All eligible applicants will be thoughtfully considered based on both need and merit. Those who have requested financial assistance undergo an additional, separate assessment process to determine the level of financial aid awarded.
If you’re considering applying for financial aid, please take a moment to review the checklist provided. If you meet the criteria, we warmly encourage you to submit your request — support is available to help make your participation possible.
